Product Features
Localized Cooling with Compressed Air
The cold air gun uses vortex tube technology to produce a cold air stream for a selected process area. Directing the airflow close to the heat source helps concentrate cooling where it is required.
316 Stainless Steel Body
The stainless steel body provides corrosion resistance for industrial use. Material selection should still account for the chemicals and environmental conditions at the installation.
Magnetic Base for Convenient Positioning
The magnetic base allows mounting on suitable ferromagnetic machine surfaces. It helps simplify repositioning when changing workpieces or adjusting the cooling location.
Flexible Directional Nozzle
The flexible nozzle can be positioned toward the cutting tool, workpiece or component. This makes it easier to set the airflow direction around fixtures and machine features.
Cooling Without Liquid Coolant Application
Cold airflow offers an option for processes where liquid coolant residue is undesirable. It can help keep the cooling area free from added coolant, provided the compressed air supply is suitably clean.
Support for Heat-Sensitive Operations
When correctly applied, localized cooling can help limit heat buildup that contributes to tool wear, dimensional variation or poor surface finish. Results depend on the material and process conditions.
Compact Installation
The TC-010-B has a listed body diameter of 45 mm and length of 295 mm, allowing its installation space to be reviewed before integration into a machine or fixture.
Applications
Machining and Cutting
Can be evaluated for spot cooling during drilling, milling, turning, sawing, grinding and tapping where air cooling suits the cutting process. It does not provide the lubrication required by some operations.
Metal and Nonmetal Processing
Provides localized cooling for suitable metal, composite, plastic, rubber and woodworking applications. Nozzle placement should account for chips, dust and surrounding equipment.
Soldering and Adhesive Processes
Can direct cooling air toward solder joints, heated components and hot-melt adhesive areas where a controlled cooling step is required.
Electronics and Component Testing
Suitable for evaluating localized cooling of electronic components, circuit boards and test fixtures. Air cleanliness and condensation control must meet the process requirements.
Molds and Ultrasonic Equipment
Can supply spot cooling to accessible mold areas or ultrasonic processing equipment where the heat load falls within the unit’s cooling capability.
Textile and Sewing Equipment
Can direct cooling air toward sewing needles or related contact areas to help manage heat buildup during suitable high-speed textile operations.
Assembly and Shrink-Fit Processes
Can be evaluated for cooling selected parts during assembly or thermal fitting procedures, subject to the required temperature and dimensional tolerances.
Why Choose HOMIPNEU

Related Pneumatic Components
HOMIPNEU also supplies air preparation units, tubing, fittings and valves for the associated compressed air system.
FAQ
What is a cold air gun?
A cold air gun is a compressed air device that delivers a localized cold air stream. This model uses vortex tube technology and includes a flexible nozzle for directing airflow toward the cooling target.
Does the cold air gun need electricity?
The vortex cooling function is powered by compressed air and does not require an electrical connection at the gun. The compressor supplying the air requires its own power source.
Can it replace cutting fluid?
It can be an option where dry machining or air cooling is suitable. It does not provide cutting-fluid lubrication, so suitability must be checked against the tool, material and machining operation.
What temperature can the outlet air reach?
The current specifications do not state a guaranteed outlet temperature. Outlet temperature depends on inlet air temperature, pressure, airflow settings and operating conditions.
What is the purpose of the magnetic base?
It supports mounting on suitable ferromagnetic surfaces and makes the gun easier to reposition. Check that the mounting surface is secure and suitable for the machine’s vibration and operating conditions.
Can the flexible nozzle be aimed at different locations?
Yes. The nozzle can be repositioned to direct the cold airflow toward the intended cooling point. Keep its position clear of moving machine components.
What compressed air supply is required?
The current table lists performance at 6.9 bar and air consumption of 1,100 L/min. Confirm the flow rating and reference conditions, and allow for pressure losses through filters, hoses and fittings.
What air quality should be used?
Use suitably filtered, dry compressed air. For contamination-sensitive processes, confirm the permitted oil, moisture and particle levels before installation.
Will the cold air gun improve tool life and surface finish?
It may help where excessive heat contributes to tool wear or finish problems. The improvement depends on the machining conditions and should be verified through application testing.
Does the unit also discharge hot air?
Yes. Vortex tube operation produces both cold and hot air streams. Keep the hot-air discharge clear and position it away from the workpiece and heat-sensitive components.
